THE Biggest Loser

Merlon has always been one of my most favorite people. He has such a gentle and kind soul. He is soft spoken and thoughtful...but has always had a strong presence about him. As a little guy his nickname was P.B. which stood for Pretty Boy...which he was and still is... He has always been genuine and caring especially with his nieces and nephews. As a teenager and young adult when my life took me as far away from my family as one could possibly get... I was always grateful for Merlon's open arms and big bear hugs. While we did not grow up in the same house, I never felt distanced from him in any way. Merlon has always made an effort to really know me, love me and spend time in my life. Today, I want to honor this man and his walk to reclaim his life. I am SO proud of him...he is a true inspiration to any one who needs to make a change. God Bless you Merlon...I am humbled by your strength, dedication and determination. We are all pulling for you and we are thankful for your willingness to embrace life and live it well.

Merlon start Weight 366 pounds
(Tina 2o pounds heavier)

Today 222 pounds WhooHoo
"I have lost 144 pounds, started at 46.8% body fat and now I am about 19%. I wore a tight pant size 50...I just bought a pair size 36 and I need a belt."

Give it up for my brother.... as my son said..."Uncle Merlon, You're Ripped."
P.S. He is single.

  12. Ojalá! I can take Merlon's lead and get back to my pre-broken leg workout routine... I've been away so long now that I just don't know where to start. Merlon is an inspiration to me and getting in shape is the least I can do to show my support.

  15. I would like to thank all of my friends and family for all of the encouragement the past 14 months. I would like to especially thank Tina for thinking that this was worth sharing with everyone, but I think she made me look pretty good. I would like to thank all of you for the encouraging comments. I think that was the first time I have ever been called hawt. And thanks to Jacob for all the help along the way.

  16. ...its all true, every word! You've worked hard to find your center and you should feel good about yourself, your life and the changes you've made along the way. Though not one singular event usually messes us up...a singular event can set us straight...exercising and losing weight WILL and HAS changed your destiny, most obviously the length of your life. LOVE YOU.

  17. That is truly amazing! Good on you!

  18. Merlon you are amazing AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN. I've known since childhood that you and Tina were made of the same amazing stuff/caliber/fire/class.

Tina's words are true...you've always been welcoming and inclusive towards me and my folks too.

Between your access to Camille Beckman products, your Harley riding, and your new healthy habits the women are gonna be all over you.

    Much light and love,
Tina's other sib (otherwise known as A.J. (aunt jenny))

  19. OH my goodness-Biggest Loser and Biggest WINNER! This is absolutely incredible! I am typing here with the biggest smile and tears running down my face.

Merlon-You look incredible! Clearly, you have invited us all to the GUN show-you are totally ripped and incredibly handsome. I would suggest getting on a dating site ASAP if you are not already because you will be having ladies all over the US wanting to date you! I think that it is incredible that you took your life in your hands and did this for yourself. Nothing short of absolutely AMAZING.

Tina~I would love to do a comb feature with both you and your brother as a guest post. This is just incredible. From losing my brother in April I just melt whenever I read about families who are truly connected and brothers and sisters. This filled me up with so many emotions! How much you love him and how proud you are--and you should be--we all should be. Merlon you are a true role model! Watch out ladies--here he is!!
